Confused gurl ab guy?

okay im really confuse to as what this guy wants with me i been knowin him for 3 yrs now bakk whn i was highschool but then i moved.anyway we been "talking" for ab 2-3 months now but we already had [yeah i noe] but whn i ask him what he wants with me he says wants me as his main chick [his gurl] but then jus says were "talking" i dnt get it? what does "talking" mean?? am i wasting my time with him? is he jus in it for the ? we also are mostly always fighting nd he gets irratated whn he sees other guys textin me he has only took me to one date and the rest of the time we meet up at his house nd we have then chill after soo i jus feel like were friends with benefits but then he tells me he misses me im very confuse and guys if you can help out it would be great
