BestFriend/Boyfriend?

ok my best friend asked me out today and i said yes cause i have loved him for a long time and just never told him and it turns otu he liks me and like a few hours ago he asked me if i love him and i said well do u love me and he siad mybe then i said telll me the truth and he sia yes and i said it back but we jsut started going out earlier today is it wierd that we already said we love each other even thougth we have been best freinds for a long time
