Homework help please?! Algeria?

I have to do a powerpoint project on Algeria. And, the problem im having is that i have to provide a story about its history. I'm reasearching and can't find anything! Such as, a pink pearl found in Conway which led Julieus Ceasar to the British Isles. It has nothing to do with Algeria, but im looking for something like that. Just need like 3 sentences. Also, about Algeria culture. Same thing follows for that too. Appreciate for the help!
