What is your opinion on buying Non American cars such as Toyota?

I have really been looking into buying a Toyota Camry XLE. I have heard many great things about it. But, since I am american, should I be buying a GM car? there are many GM cars I am interested in. and i will never drive anything made buy ford unless it is a Ford Edge or Lincoln MKS and i would never buy Chrystler in my life. So what is your opinion on my situation?
