Is Yahoo Answers trying to put people off the site for life with these revolting teeth whitener ads?

I think those ads come from a site called "ad.yieldmanager.com" if u put that web address into your hosts file (usually located at C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc) it will bar that website from connecting to your computer...which will eliminate the ads. Open the "hosts" file with notepad and there will be instuctions on how to put the web address into the hosts file.
