Is the reason why atheists are so careless & hedonistic because they "think" there's nothing waiting for them?

I mean, what reason would you have for just going all out on your carnal desires and completely disregarding base morals? Midnight feasts, one-night stands, drinks & STDs. Then a visit to the doctor to slay the accidental baby. What explains such a careless lifestyle?
